South Africa Automotive Industry Review

Tuesday, October 27, 2020 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM

At the Southernmost tip of the African continent, the Republic of South Africa leads the auto manufacturing sector in Africa. It does so with its original equipment manufacturers, long-established in the country, and backed by a vibrant community of 500 suppliers and diversified manufacturers.

The Africa Automotive Event is set to present the automotive landscape in the nation, and also to highlight the opportunities that foreign companies have in the sector, by bringing together executives from the main representative bodies in South Africa. This includes the two main automotive associations, i.e.: the National Association of Automotive Component and Allied Manufacturers (NAACAM), which is recognized as the voice of the South African automotive component industry, both domestically and internationally. And, the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA), which represents the collective, non-competitive interests of the motor vehicle manufacturing industry in South Africa.

In addition, event attendees will also have an opportunity to be briefed by the Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC), a state run entity that is a world-class organization specializing in Skills Development and Training, Enterprise Development, Incubation Programs, Management of Incentive Programs and Facility Management.
